Scranton library board seeking new member

The H. F. and Maude E. Marchant Public Library in Scranton is seeking a volunteer to serve on the library board of trustees. The library board is composed of five members who serve as a policy-making body and guide the development of Library services.

Terms on the board are three years (or less if filling a vacancy). The board meets on the second Monday of the month at 6 pm. Current library board members are Cheryl Robson, Dustin Gustoff, Bob McKnight, and Molly Ritter.

Persons who are interested in serving the Scranton community on the library board are asked to stop at the library for more information and to fill out a short application.

Board members are appointed by the mayor and approved by the Scranton city council. Expressing interest will make your name available for consideration but will not guarantee appointment. ~courtesy of The Scranton Journal
