Wisconsin visitors – Dale and Nancy Hanaman enjoyed lunch in Des Moines with Wisconsin friends Linda and Doug Schultz from North Fond du Lac. The Schultzes were returning home from a visit to a number of national parks in the west, including the Grand Canyon.

LIBRARY
~by Phyllis Bardole, librarian

We have had the second Summer Reading session. Brenda Roberts is doing a great job with the kids. Last week the theme was the moon. They colored “moo’s” to hang on the light fixtures in our front room.

Maralynn Rinker, Nancy Hanaman and I have furnished cookies. We appreciate the volunteers who donate. The kids always like cookies. There are two more weeks of Summer Reading so come on in and enjoy what Brenda has for you.

We have been getting more new books. We still have the contest between adults and the youth. It will finish on Aug. 16. There are some competitive people reading! We will have more on the contest later. Our 75th Anniversary will be coming in the fall.

See you at the library.
