Jefferson Matters to host free marketing workshop

Local business owners, non-profit and community organizations are invited to a free workshop on marketing Thursday, July 18, at 9:30 am at the Greene County Community Center.

Main Street Iowa (part of Iowa Economic Development) is working with Locable to conduct their 90-minute Marketing 3-4-5™ workshops in five Iowa communities. The goal: empower local businesses, nonprofits and civic organizations in the communities they support to become more effective marketers and better compete in today’s digital landscape.

“Communication remains one of the most important ingredients of success for local revitalization efforts….Through our partnership with Locable, we hope to provide on-the-ground training and support for local Main Street communication and marketing strategies,” said Michael Wagler, Main Street Iowa state coordinator.

Brian Ostrovsky, CEO of Locable, will present at the free workshop. The morning workshop will begin promptly at 9:30 and include guiding attendees through a marketing exercise to create a marketing and content plan based on the Marketing 3-4-5 framework™ and related workbook. This workshop will conclude at 11 am.

The visit will also include a series of one-on-one meetings at the Jefferson Matters: Main Street office during the afternoon offered by appointment. Interested persons should contact Peg Raney at director@jeffersonmatters.org to register for the morning workshop or to sign up for a 30 minute one-on-one consultation by July 16.
