School construction update

Site work at the new Greene County High School and Career Academy is proceeding more easily this week with drier weather.

Preparing the site includes creating a storm water retention area on the southwest corner of the school site. Meanwhile, vocational ag students have planted corn on 22 acres that won’t be used until funds are available for an athletic complex.

A drone photo shows progress on interior masonry in the Career Academy and footings for the exterior walls. This photo was taken June 6.
