Greene County magistrate court, week ending June 6

In Greene County magistrate court Branden G. Smith of Jefferson was sentenced to 30 days in jail May 23 after he pleaded guilty to a charge of interference with official acts. No financial information was listed on Iowa Courts Online.

Melissa Marie Kroupa of Granger was sentenced June 5 to 15 days in jail after she pleaded guilty to a charge of providing false identification information. The jail time is concurrent to a prison term in a 2018 case in which she was charged with burglary- third degree. Her probation was revoked in that case. Kroupa is to reside in a residential correctional facility until she attains maximum benefits. She was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge; both were suspended.

Royzell Henderson of Jefferson was fined $80 with a $28 surcharge o a charge of providing tobacco/vape product to a minor.

Kelsey Kay Stringer of Jefferson was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Court costs were $60 on every case.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Travis Lawrence Glasgow of Boone, assault; and Audrie Lawrence of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia.
