In Greene County district court Kylene Suzanne Rabourne 40, of Grand Junction was sentenced May 3 to a total of six years in prison.
In a case initiated in May 2018, Rabourne was sentenced to two-year prison terms after she changed her plea to guilty on a charge of theft- third degree and a charge of identity theft. The prison terms are consecutive, but concurrent to the prison term in a Guthrie County case. On each charge she was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge; the fines and surcharges were suspended. She must pay a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge on each charge. A charge of forgery was dismissed.
In a case initiated in September 2018, Raybourne changed her plea to guilty to a charge of theft- third degree. She was sentenced to two years in prison, consecutive to the terms in the earlier case. She was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge; both were suspended. She must pay a $125 LEI surcharge.
The judge ruled she is unable to pay restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees because of her incarceration. Per new Iowa case law, she also does not need to pay court costs because of her incarceration. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)
Joshua Harold Gingery, 34, of Adaza was sentenced to 30 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault- simple, amended from domestic abuse assault- second offense. All but two days of the jail term was suspended and he was placed on self probation for one year. He can be charged up to $400 in sheriff’s fees for the time he serves. Gingery must complete a batterers education program at his own expense. He must pay a $100 domestic abuse surcharge and $600 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees. Cases were initiated as follows: Christine Ka Moran, 47, of Perry, gambling- false claim of winnings; and Merle Crit Holland, 58, of Des Moines, operating while intoxicated- first offense.
