Congregate meals slates 40th anniversary event

The Greene County congregate meal program is celebrating 40 years of service this monty.

The public is invited to a coffee and cookie event to thank all the many people who have helped make the program a success through volunteering and monetary donations. The coffee will be held Thursday, May 16, from 10 to 11:30 am at the Greenewood Center, 401 W. Greenewood Road, Jefferson.

The Greene County Community Foundation recently provided funds to purchase new tables and new thermal carriers for meal delivery.
