Greene County magistrate court through April 18

In Greene County magistrate court Malay Thammathay of Des Moines was fined $200 with a $70 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge n a charge of trespass (casino self-exclusion). Court costs were $287.

A judgment for a $65 fine with a $22.75 surcharge was entered against Christopher Brian Quirk of Jefferson after he pleaded guilty to a charge of theft- fifth degree.  He must also pay a $125 LEI surcharge, $300 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees, and $133 court costs.

A judgment for a $65 fine with a $22.75 surcharge was entered against Robert Richard Kovar  of Jefferson after he pleaded guilty to a charge of theft- fifth degree. He must also pay a $125 LEI surcharge, $300 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees, and $143 court costs.

A judgment for a $65 fine with a $22.75 surcharge was entered against Royzell Henderson of Jefferson after he pleaded guilty to a charge of theft- fifth degree. He must also pay a $125 LEI surcharge, $300 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees, and $35.98 restitution to HyVee. Court costs were $60.

Adam John Taylor Hopkins of Jefferson was  placed on informal probation for one year after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault, amended from domestic abuse assault. He  was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge. He must also pay $300 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $60 court costs.

Mariah Bartley of Jefferson was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge on a charge of providing tobacco to a minor. Court costs were $60.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Martin John Tolsdorf of Grand Junction, possession of drug paraphernalia; Chad Phillip Sloan of Jefferson, assault; Christopher Brian Quirk of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia; Melissa Marie Kroupa of Granger, providing false identification information; and Laura Nicole Cox of Nevada, trespass (casino self-exclusion).

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Anthony Scott Gray of Jefferson was charged with theft- fifth degree. A warrant was issued March 4 and returned April 18.
