Cattlemen pledge $5,000 to flood relief

Cash donations welcome to lend more aid

The Greene County Cattlemen feel the pain and stress of their neighboring beef producers in western Iowa and Nebraska. The organization has agreed to donate $5,000 to the Iowa and Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association to be distributed to their members.

The Greene County Cattlemen’s board of directors welcome monetary donations to add to their generosity. Checks can be dropped off or mailed to the Cattlemen at Home State Bank or Peoples Bank.

Persons may also give the donation to one of the directors: Tom Lawton, Justin Robbins, Tanner Lawton, Bob Bills, Ben Gannon, Mike Holden, Derek Kennedy, Patrick Minnehan, Brandon Muir and Justin Muir. Please write Flood Relief in the memo.

The Cattlemen appreciate the support of local residents in this worthwhile endeavor. Donations are requested  by Friday, May 3, so the contribution can be made in a timely manner.
