Rams put another soccer game in the win column

The Ram boys varsity soccer team upped its record to 3-0 with a 10-0 win over the Grand View Christian Thunder April 9 in Grand Junction. More than 20 Ram players had time on the field.

Cael Fisher again played goalie the entire game. He’s credited with eight saves in the shut-out.

Junior Gutierrez led in scoring with four goals on five shots on goal for 80 percent. Luis Valazco scored three goals on four shots on goal for 75 percent. Cameren Miller came off the bench and scored a goal on his only shot on goal. Austin Delp and Maynor Carballo scored one goal each. Both took five shots on goal for 20 percent.

Nathan Black, Yunior Carballo and Skylar Ripperger all took one shot on goal. Gutierrez and Alex Roberts are credited with one assist each.

“We played very well overall and we will continue to build and improve,” coach Carl Behne said. “Our second half was much stronger all around and I was proud of the team effort and win.”
