BETA GAMMA SIGMA – Iowa State University Ivy College of Business held ilts 28th annual Beta Gamma Sigma induction ceremony on March 5 at 4 pm in the Campanile Room at Memorial Union. Maxwell Neese, son of Alan and Katherine Neese of Grand Junction, was one of the 21 members of the junior class to be inducted during the afternoon ceremonies.

Others who enjoyed the afternoon festivities were Max’s grandparents, Tom and Ruth Feldman of Jefferson and Connie Neese of Rippey, as well as his friend Haley Kraus. A reception was held for all the inductees, including those from the Senior class, the Masters program and the Doctoral program.

The mission of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the society, and to serve its lifelong members. Congratulations to Max!

JEAN’S TRAVELS – First thing to greet me in the Arizona household of my daughter and family was the addition of five new fish and a newly decorated fish tank. Early the next morning, there were two missing or dead. What a beginning to the day!

RIIPPEY LIBRARY – In spite of the weather and electrical outages, the library has been opened by the volunteers who are able to make it to the library. We are glad to report our librarian is recovering nicely and hopefully by the time Mother Nature has gotten this winter behind her, we will be back to normal.

Until then, thanks to our patrons who have been very patient.
