Persons of all faith denominations are invited to gather for an ecumenical Lent worship service Sunday, March 10, at Central Christian Church, 108 N. Elm, in Jefferson.
The worship service will begin at 6:30 pm with Pastor Bobby Palmer preaching. An offering will be taken for renovations at the new Action Resource Center (ARC) food pantry. The Greene County Clergy Association has set $15,000 as the goal for the offering.
The Greene County Singers invite everyone to join them for two pieces they have selected for the worship service. The Singers will rehearse the two pieces at 5:50 in the church sanctuary. All are welcome.
A hymn sing will precede the service at 6:15.
A soup supper will start the evening at 5:30 pm in Central Christian’s Fellowship Hall. Free will donations will be accepted for the supper, also to benefit the ARC.
