Greene County district court, week ending Feb. 15

Noah Exline, 21, of Jefferson was sentenced Feb. 11 in Greene County district court to two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to a charge of indecent contact with a child, amended from lascivious acts with a child. He was also charged with seven counts of sex abuse- second degree. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. He will be in the custody of the Iowa Department of Corrections for 10 years, beginning under supervision as if on parole or work release.Exline will be placed on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry and must pay a $250 sex offender registry civil penalty. He was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge. He must pay $1,000 restitution for his court appointed attorney. The sentencing document noted the legal costs were “greatly in excess of $1,000, but the judge found Exline to be unable to pay more than that. Court costs were $1,192.20. Eiddie Mun, 34, of Grand Junction was sentenced Feb. 11 to 30 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury (serious misdemeanor), amended from domestic abuse assault- third or subsequent offense (Class D felony). All but seven days of the jail time was suspended, with credit given for time previously served. He must pay sheriff’s room and board fees for the time he serves. Mun will be on informal probation for one year, and he must compete the Iowa domestic abuse program at his own expense. A judgment was entered for a $315 fine with a $110.25 surcharge, a $100 domestic abuse assault surcharge, and $600 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees, Court costs were $131.50. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Zachary Dean Vreeland, 26, of Lytton, theft- fourth degree; Jessica Ann Marie Kelton, 20, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana- first offense; Michael Allen Olson, 57, of Jefferson, operating while intoxicated- first offense; Steven Bret Wetzel, 49, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine; and Keenan Lee Olson, 20, of Coon Rapids, carrying weapons. Trial dates were set for April 9 in every case.

Warrants were returned Feb. 11 in two cases against Kylene Suzanne Rabourne, 40, of Grand Junction. In a case initiated Dec. 5 Rabourne was charged with possession of methamphetamine. In a case initiated Dec.13 she was charged in ongoing criminal conduct.

Cases were initiated as follows: Cayleb Anthony Walker, 25, of Coon Rapids, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness; Robert Richard Kovar, 34, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine- second offense; James Merrell Mosley, 45, of Fort Dodge, driving while license barred and possession of a controlled substance; Sheila R. Madson, 56, of Jefferson, OWI- first offense; Levi Joe Shield, 21, of Templeton, OWI- first offense; and Karibeth Danielle Baker, 39, of Scranton, driving while license revoked.
