Prepare for another winter wallop

Greene County is in a winter storm watch through Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service forecasts a wintry mix developing late Monday morning and  transitioning to snow Monday afternoon. A light glaze of ice is possible prior to the snow. The heaviest snowfall is predicted along and north of Highway 30. Greene County is expected to receive 4-6 inches of snow.

The snow will taper off during the late morning Tuesday. However, northwest winds with gusts of 30-40 mph developing by sunrise Tuesday morning will lead to blowing and drifting snow throughout the day and evening hours.
