Kids Heart Challenge coming soon

Students in Grades 2-6 at Greene County elementary and middle schools are jumping at the chance to fight heart disease and stroke, our nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers, respectively.

From Jan. 28 through Feb. 11,  students will  participate in the Kids Heart Challenge, (formerly Jump Rope/Hoops For Heart). Students will raise funds for the American Heart Association, which funds cardiovascular disease research and public and professional education programs, while learning about building a heart healthy lifestyle.

Money raised by the event will go to fund potentially lifesaving research and educational and community programs. “Please help our students help others. When a student asks you to be a sponsor, support Kids Heart Challenge with whatever you can afford to give. Thank you,” said physical education teacher Lori Danner.
