Greene County district court, week ending Dec. 6

In Greene County district court Malissa Lou Brooks, 41, of Ames  was sentenced Dec. 6 to 30 days in jail after she pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana- first offense, amended from possession of marijuana- third offense. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and she was placed on unsupervised probation for one year. The two days jail time is concurrent to jail time in another Greene County case. She must pay sheriff’s room and board and complete any recommended drug abuse treatment at her own expense. Brooks was fined $315 with a $110.25 surcharge, a $10 surcharge for drug abuse resistance education (DARE), a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge, $1,200 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and $342.13 court costs. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Emma Michelle Webb, 18,of Anita, pleaded not guilty Dec.  5 to a charge of possession of marijuana. A trial date was set for Jan. 29.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Crystal Ann Jordan, 33, of Scranton has been charged with child endangerment causing bodily injury.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Christopher Richard Sowers, 46, of  Grand Junction, driving while license barred; and Joshua Michael Ackerson, 30, of Fort Dodge, theft- second degree.
