Tickets for the second annual BOOST Bash will go on sale this Friday – Black Friday – so area residents can buy a unique gift of entertainment while supporting the Greene County Schools.

BOOST – Building Opportunities & Optimism for our Students & Teachers – is a totally community-driven effort benefiting the students and teachers of the Greene County Community School District.

All proceeds from the BOOST Bash will directly impact students and classrooms. The Greene County BOOST committee is working directly with teachers to identify high impact projects and to create teacher grant opportunities.

Last year’s inaugural event raised more than $54,000. These funds are currently being used by educators in the Greene County school district to enhance learning environments for their students. “We could not have raised such a tremendous amount of funds without the generous and enthusiastic support of our community. Thank you,” a BOOST committee spokesperson said.

The BOOST executive committee is now planning for the next event. The second annual BOOST Bash will be held Saturday, March 30, at the Greene Room at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson. Once again, this will be a social, a dinner, a celebration of our schools, recognition of the positive things happening at GCCSD, and there will also be live and silent auctions.

Tickets go on sale on Nov. 23 and are $30 per person. Tickets can be purchased online at www.boostgreenecountyschools.com or by mailing a check to: Greene County Schools BOOST / P.O. Box 4 / Jefferson, Iowa 50129. Checks can be made out to Greene County Educational Foundation. Please put BOOST in the memo line so the donation can be correctly identified.
Community sponsorship opportunities will also be available on the BOOST website. BOOST is on Facebook at BOOST – Greene County, IA.
