The Rippey United Methodist Church will host the ecumenical Thanksgiving service Wednesday, Nov. 21, The Churches from Grand Junction Presbyterian and United Methodists will participate. All are welcome to attend.
Rippey Lions Club – The recent meeting of the Rippey Lions Club began with a meal prepared by Maralynn Rinker assisted by Myron Rinker and Nancy Hanaman. Finalizing plans for the upcoming breakfast were reviewed and the group were reminded of the BRR meal plans for early in February.

Guests were Jason and Shannon Foley. The evening program was introduced by Dick Bardole and presented by Jason Foley who shared about his business of breeding queen bees, producing honey.He and his wife Shannon also help at the Iowa State Fair in the state beekeepers association area.
The next meeting of the Rippey Lions Club will be the holiday potluck on Dec. 7 at 7 pm at the Rippey United Methodist Church.

Dale and Nancy Hanaman attended the meeting of the Greene County Historical Society board last week. The board discussion included plans for the coming year, building concerns and displays for the museum opening in the spring of 2019. The monthly meeting of the Historical Society will be on Dec. 8 at the Greenewood Center in Jefferson with the noon meal, music provided by students from the Greene County Community High School under the leadership of Wes Anderson and the annual business meeting.
