Greene County district court, week ending Nov. 15

In Greene County district court Jeromy David Antonen, 35, of Grand Junction was sentenced Nov. 9 after he pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary- third degree, amended from burglary- second degree. He was sentenced to five years in prison. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation for three years. He must reside in a residential correctional facility until he attains the maximum benefits. He is to remain in the custody of the sheriff until space in the facility is available. Antonen must undergo a substance abuse and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense.

He was fined $750 with a $262.50 surcharge; both were suspended. He must pay a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative (LEI) surcharge. The judge found him unable to pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees. Court costs were $866.35. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)

Russell Carnes, 52, of Grimes was fined $65with a $22.75 surcharge and a $100 domestic abuse surcharge after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault, amended from domestic abuse assault- second offense. He must complete an anger management class at his own expense. Court costs were $457.30. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Timothy Lowell Wilson, 58 of Fort Dodge was sentenced to two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine- second offense. The prison term was suspended. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana- second offense. On that charge he was sentenced to 365 days in jail; all but 10 were suspended and he was placed on informal probation for two years. He must pay sheriff’s room and board fees for the jail time he serves. He was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge and a $125 Lei surcharge on each charge. He must also pay $1,900 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $999.68 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Noah Adam Bowen, 18, of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment after he pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary- third degree, amended from burglary- second degree. He was placed on probation for two years. A $750 civil penalty was suspended. He must pay $140 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Rob Jonathan Herridge, 24,of Jefferson was sentenced to three days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. He must pay sheriff’s room and board for the time he serves. Herridge was fined $1,200with a $420 surcharge. Court costs were $100.

In a related magistrate case, Herridge was sentenced to five days in jail on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. The jail terms are consecutive. He was fined $65with a $22.75 surcharge and a $10 DARE surcharge. Court costs were $35. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Amanda Jo Goodpaster, 31, of Grand Junction was sentenced to four days in jail after she pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault- simple, amended from domestic abuse assault- serious. She must pay sheriff’s room and board fees for the time she serves, and she must complete a domestic abuse program. She was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $100 domestic abuse assault surcharge. Court costs were $60. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Robert Christopher Jean Thoma Jr, 20, of Jefferson has been charged with possession of methamphetamine- second offense and possession of marijuana- third or subsequent offense. The warrant was issued 4/17 and returned 10/23.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows:  Lyle Neil Stork, 56, of Glidden, operating while intoxicated- second offense and driving while license revoked; and John Joseph Minnehan, 63, of Churdan, possession of a firearm as a felon.
