Food pantry board starts building fund drive

The Greene County Christian Action Resource Center (GCCARC)  board has determined that needs in the county have grown too much for the food pantry’s current location.

The board plans to purchase the former Clark Plumbing & Heating building on N. Elm St.

“The current building will be up for  sale, but the proceeds from that will not be enough to cover the cost of the new building and needed renovations,” explained Pastor Julie Poulsen, GCCARC board chair. “We therefore are seeking financial assistance.”

The GCCARC is a 501(c) non-profit organization and will provide documentation for donations.

Contributions can be sent to Greene County Christian Action Resource Center, c/o Carol  Zwicky, treasurer, 112 E. Harrison St, Jefferson, IA  50129
