Infant care close to home is topic of public health program

Greene County Medical Center and St Anthony Regional Hospital of Carroll are co-hosting a community education program Wednesday, Nov. 7, for women of childbearing age.

The program, “Cradling Your Baby with Care in Greene County,” will start at 5:15 pm with social time. Presentations will begin at 5:45, with the event ending at 6:45. It will be held in the clinics lobby on Level A.

Presentation topics will include building baby brain development by Sara Miller of the medical center’s public health department; coordinating care with St Anthony Birth Place by OB staff; lactation/breastfeeding support, baby screenings, and postpartum visits (weight, bilirubin, etc), all presented by public health staff; and post pregnancy health and birth control options presented by Valerie Martin, ARNP, of Women’s Health Clinic.

All attendees will be entered into a drawing for a 3-hour Meythaler Photography newborn photo session and other door prizes.
