The Jefferson Kiwanis Club invites the public to its 46th annual pancake breakfast and silent auction Saturday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 11 am at the Elks Lodge in Jefferson.
The menu includes all you can eat pancakes with syrup or hot fruit toppings, scrambled eggs, link sausage, biscuits and gravy and beverages. Tickets are $7 for adults and $2 for children 10 and younger. They’re available from Kiwanis Club members or at the door.
The silent auction will include a variety of gift items, tickets for entertainment, and services, all donated by club members.
Proceeds will be used for community projects that benefit youngsters.
Since 1973 the club has served a pancake breakfast on the opening day of pheasant season. For decades the event was known as the hunters breakfast.
