Tuesday, Oct. 16, is the 52nd birthday of the Mahanay Memorial CarillonTower.
Built in 1966, the Greene County landmark now boasts a 47-bell, four-octave carillon atop the 12-story tower.
To celebrate, anyone who is 52 years old will get free admission to the tower next weekend, Oct 13-14.
Jefferson residents can listen for the Birthday Song played from the bell tower Tuesday as one of the three songs played five minutes past each hour.
