Jefferson residents, businesses and churches are invited to be included on a map showing outdoor holiday light displays this holiday season.
Jefferson Matters: Main Street, Greene County Chamber & Tourism and Thomas Jefferson Gardens is coordinating the effort to include an informal “Light Up the Holiday” tour of lights Dec. 6-9.
Participants are asked to call the Chamber office at 515-386-2155 by Nov. 16 to be listed on the map. There are no prizes, as Light Up the Holiday is “just a festive way to spread some holiday cheer to others in our community,” a Jefferson Matters spokesperson said.
The Community Christmas Tree Lighting will kick off Light Up the Holiday on Thursday, Dec. 6.
