Greene County magistrate court, week ending Sept. 27

In Greene County magistrate court Jacob Eugene Day of Jefferson was sentenced Sept. 26 to four days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault. He must pay sheriff’s room and board fees for the time he serves. Day was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge; both were suspended. Court costs were $96.50.

Amber Blair of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment after she pleaded guilty to a charge of theft- fifth degree. She must pay a $65 civil penalty with a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge and $163.75 victim restitution. She must also pay $500 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees.

Jill Ray Kanealy of Grand Junction was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 LEI surcharge on a charge of theft- fifth degree. A charge of trespass was dismissed. Court costs were $103.72.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Denise Katherine Beadle of Jefferson, violation of a protective order; Jacob Randall Fisher of Webster City, possession of drug paraphernalia; Bradlee Gene Beadle of Jefferson, violation of a protective order; and Rick Eugene Tuhn of Grand Junction, assault.
