Letter – Roger Aegerter

To the voters of House District 47

I am writing in support of the election of David Weaver as our representative in the 47th district of the Iowa House of Representatives.

I have known David since my years as a teacher and administrator in the East Greene Community School system. David stands out in my memory as an active and engaged student who excelled in what he felt was important for his future. He had a broad interest in both academics and activities.

In his adult life, I have seen those same qualities in David Weaver. He has a varied and extensive educational and vocational background, which includes one of the most noble of careers, farming.

Being a retired educator in Greene County, I can relate to someone like David who cares deeply about education and the welfare of all people. Along with David, I believe that an early and strong educational experience leads to a committed and productive life. We need our elected officials to fight for our youth and for the quality of life in all communities. He understands the needs and concerns of rural Iowans.

David Weaver is a caring and thoughtful person who will use his expertise and common sense to improve health issues and services, bring education to the top of the list of priorities, bring his understanding and ideas about natural resources to the legislature, and emphasize how vital agriculture is to everyone in Iowa and around the globe. As a State Representative, David will also use his listening and communication skills to direct his efforts towards the priorities of the people of Greene and Boone counties. We need David Weaver as our next Representative.

Be sure to vote on Election Day.

Roger Aegerter, Jefferson, IA
