Giving back to the Greene County community is one of the principal goals of the Jefferson Kiwanis Club. Its motto is “Serving the children of the world”, and Kiwanians accomplish this mission in part through funds raised from events throughout the year.
On Sept. 26, the club held its installation of officers for the coming year. The following were installed by Division 11 Lt-Governor Geri Derner: Bob Schwarzkopf as treasurer; Toni Wetrich as secretary; Thomas Laehn as vice president; Denny Hammen as president- elect and Tom Heater as president, receiving the gavel from out-going president Vicky Lautner. The master of ceremonies was Don Van Gilder.
The board of directors for the next year includes Vern Foje, Don Van Gilder, Bill Raney, Randy Monthei, Dr. Jim Teusch, Rick McCollom, Kathy Pittman, Lisa Kuhl and Denny Goshon.
