Greene County eighth grade volleyball coach Teresa Green reports her team on Monday defeated Gilbert in the A match 12-21, 21-11-and 1-14. The B team lost in three games 10-21, 21-19, 17-21.
The Rams served 73 for 97 for 75 percent with 24 aces. “The Rams were greatly improved from our first match last week,” Green said.
In seventh grade volleyball the A team won 2-1 with game scores 21-16, 13-21, 21-16. The A record is now 3-3 in games and 1-1 in matches. The B team lost 0-3 with game scores 11-21, 18-21. The B record is 1-5 in games and 0-2 in matches.
The teams play again Thursday, hosting Nevada with the first game starting at 4:30 pm.
