Candidates told for county posts in Nov. 6 election

The last deadline for filing nomination papers for the Nov. 6 general election has passed.

Persons who will be listed on the ballot for county partisan offices are:
• District 2 supervisor – Republican Dawn Rudolph, Democrat Patti Naylor
• District 3 supervisor – Republican Tom Contner, Democrat Melissa Frederick
• County attorney – Libertarian Thomas Laehn
• County recorder – Democrat Marcia Tasler
• County treasurer – Republican Katlynn Gannon-Mechaelsen, Democrat Donna Lawson 

Persons who will be listed on the ballot for non-partisan township clerk and trustee positions are:
• Dawson Township – trustee Scott Walker, clerk Becki Cunningham
• Franklin Township – trustee Doug Lawton, clerk Carla K. Offenburger
• Grant Township – trustee Peg Semke, clerk Marvin Rasmussen
• Greenbrier Township- trustee Brent Badger, clerk Judy Contner
• Highland Township – trustee John McCormick, clerk Marsha Subbert
• Jackson Township – trustee Joshua Hedges, clerk Tom Lawton
• Junction Township – trustee Wade Sohm, clerk Jacqueline K. Gannon

County Agricultural Extension Council member, four-year term, vote for no more than five – Kyle Niles, Pam Olerich, Bruce Bahnson, Jill Rasmussen, Jessi Riley

Early/absentee voting begins Oct. 8. Requests for absentee ballots can be made to the county auditor’s office prior to that date, but ballots will not be mailed and voting cannot be done in the auditor’s office until that date.
