Extraordinary Citizen Award to Don Orris, Phil Siglin

Don Orris and Phil Siglin are the winners of Home State Bank’s Extraordinary Citizen Award for August.

Wendy Vander Linden, mother of Gavin and Lucy Vander Linden, nominated Orris and Siglin for their many hours each summer to make the children’s archery classes possible and a success year after year.

Vander Linden explained, “They are kind and patient will all of the kids, and make sure everyone learns something and improves their shooting. Our children have been involved in archery for three years now, with a few more to go, and we are grateful for their investment in the youth of Greene County through this program. For Gavin and Lucy, archery is a summer tradition here in Jefferson, and it’s something they look forward to each year.”

The men chose to give the $100 donation from Home State Bank to the Webb House.
