A Scranton man was killed Thursday evening when his Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with an SUV west of Jefferson.
According to an Iowa State Patrol accident report, Donald Daniel, 46, of Scranton was westbound on County Road E-53 driving a 2015 Harley Davidson FXSB at 7:26 pm. Emily Perrien, 28, of Coon Rapids was northbound on County Road P-14 driving a 2012 GMS Terrain. Their vehicles collided in the intersection and came to rest there.
Daniel was transported to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County Emergency Medical Services but the injuries he sustained in the collision were fatal.
There is a stop sign posted for traffic on P-14. The preliminary report provided does not list any citations or charges resulting from the accident.
The Greene County sheriff’s office, the Jefferson police and fire departments, and Iowa DOT enforcement assisted at the scene.
