Greene County magistrate court, week ending Aug. 2

Cases were initiated in magistrate court during the week ending Aug. 2 as follows: Jacob Steven Kimmes of Carroll, consumption of alcohol in public place; and James Kenneth Harris of Woodward, violation of a no contact order.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending Aug. 2 as follows: John Curtis Kenfield of Sioux Falls, SD, trespass, $200 with $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge; Jessica Ann Marie Kelton and Darrell Lee Meinecke of Jefferson, dark window/windshield, $50; Geneva M. Rajski of Princeton, TX, following too closely, $100; Troy O’Neil Cathers of Dayton, following too closely, $100; and Douglas J. Esslinger of Bayard, violation of conditions of restricted license, $50.

Also, speed, $90 (16-20 mph over limit): Jade Racheal Dirks of Carroll and Judy E. Robison of Omaha, NE.

Speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Clint Thomas Flack of Jefferson.

Commercial motor vehicle violations: Aaron Todd Sloan of Jefferson, gasoline can not secured from falling over, $50.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Layla J. Rysavy of Jefferson, speed, $20; Craig Donald Chitty of Audubon, failure to provide proof of financial liability coverage- accident related, $500; Dustin Miles Evans of Fort Dodge and Amanda Lynn Thompson of Carroll, fishing and hunting- no license more than $10 but less than $20, $30; Richard Jessie Duran of Panama, improper brake light, $30,and failure to provide proof of financial liability coverage, $250; Hayley Lynn Brown of Jefferson, operating non-registered vehicle, $50; and Maggie May Havens of Jefferson, failure to have valid license or permit while operating, $200.

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.
