Survivors: mother Gertrude Helsenbeck of Jefferson; children Chad (Megan) Thede of Davenport, John (Shara) Thede of Clarksville, TN, and Jason (Diana) Thede of Bouton; long-time companion Jim Taylor of Jefferson; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings Beverly, Chuck, Donna, Duane, Shirley and Linda; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Ronald Claussen, 85, of Spirit Lake. Services: Wednesday, May 30, at 2 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Spirit Lake. Survivors include his wife Marilyn (Weaver) Claussen, Rippey High School class of 1953.

Allen Blackburn, 93, of Grand Junction. Per his request, his body will be donated to the University of Iowa deeded body program. A private service will be held at a later date. Survivors: wife Karen; daughter Judy (Rick) Hillman of Dana; son Terry and his girlfriend Christine Snyder of Ankeny; and family and friends. Joyce Swaney Turner, Celebration of Life. Join us as we celebrate the amazing life of Joyce Turner. The party will be held on Sunday, May 27, from 1 to 3:30 pm at the Jefferson Community Golf Course clubhouse.
