Kids Fishing Day is June 2 in Scranton

Registration by May 25 to be eligible for prizes

It’s the time of year when the seventh annual Scranton Kids Fishing Day Event is being planned. This year’s theme is “Wishin’ I Was Fishin’.”

Grab your fishing poles, tackle boxes and head out to the Scranton Pond Park and join in the fun.. . Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.

To be eligible for prizes, children must be registered by May 25.

Since it is free fishing weekend, parents are welcome to grab their gear and join in the fishing fun. Parents: you don’t need to get your license but you may want to after the exciting and fun day that is in the planning stages right now.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 2, from 11 am to 2 pm.

A light lunch and guest speakers are planned for everyone to enjoy with maybe a surprise or two.

Several door prizes will be handed out that day. Children must be present in order to receive the prizes.
