Greene County magistrate court, week ending May 10

In Greene County magistrate court Paul Richard Nelson was granted a deferred judgment May 9 on a charge of theft- fifth degree. He was placed on informal probation for one year. He must pay $65 civil penalty, a $125 Law Enforcement Initiativ surcharge, $300 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $60 court costs.

Information is available since the return of arrest warrants that Trinity Glen Welch of Jefferson has been charged with violation of a no contact order and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending May 10 as follows: Catherine Lee Kvidera of Sioux City, trespass- first offense, $200; and Zachary Allen Smith of Jefferson, curfew, $20.

Speed, $20 (1-5 over): Gerald Allen Fisher Jr of Farnhamville, Bruce Allen Johnson of Urbandale, Mickenzie Walter Nelson of Jefferson, Roxanne Alma Caisch of Lake City, *Kari Ann Delaney of Des Moines, Gary L. McMinimee and David Charles Quandt, both of Carroll, Kelsey Nicole Albanese of Iowa City, and Dylan James McConnell of Ames.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): *Jacob Alan Lindner of Early, possession of alcohol under age, $200; *Amy Dawn Rodriguez of Rockwell City, speed, $80; Homero DeJesus Rodriguez of Pharr, TX, failure to have valid license while operating, $200; and Tosha M. Hickman of Jefferson, financial liability coverage violation, $250.

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.
