Bill Berger, Elks State Association president

Bill Berger of Jefferson was installed April 28 as president of the Iowa Elks Association.

Berger, a member for 39 years, has served his local lodge, Jefferson #2306, as exalted ruler twice and as the state vice president and division chairman for exalted rulers. He has also served as district deputy to the grand exalted ruler.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks was established in 1868 and is commemorating its 150th year as a fraternal order.

Berger will represent the state of Iowa at the Grand Lodge in San Antonio, TX, in July.
