Plan now for Food Safe course in May

Community and church groups that anticipate serving a meal during RAGBRAI, along with anyone involved with the Bell Tower Festival as a food vendor, 4-H leaders and members who volunteer at the Clover Café during the county fair, and farmers market vendors are encouraged to mark their calendars for Safe Food food safety training.

Greene County Extension and Outreach is offering the course Thursday, May 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Extension office. The course will be taught by Ann Heuer, registered dietician and an Extension nutrition and wellness specialist.

There is no charge for the course for persons who register by May 17. The cost after May 17 is $10.
