The 13th annual Toddler Fest will be held Saturday, April 7, from 10 am to noon at the Greene County Community Center. Toddlers 2-5 years old and their families are invited to spend time together at this free event that encourages children to “Bee A Reader”.

Special guest will be Scholastic’s Clifford the Big Red Dog. Parents will want to be prepared to take photos.

More than 20 different activity stations will let  children try their luck fishing at the camping site, shop at the grocery store, build block towers, crawl through a tunnel or blow soap bubbles.

Each child who attends Toddler Fest will receive a free book from the Jefferson Rotary Club. There will be a “Bee Hive Drawing” for prizes and Dunkers by Matt will provide treats.

The Greene County librarians encourage children to check out the large selection of books at their local libraries. “With great community partners and volunteers, we are excited to offer the Toddler Fest event to families of children 2-5 years old. Save the date, Saturday, April 7, and join us for a fun-filled morning,” said Shari Minnehan, president of the Greene County Librarians Association.

Toddler Fest is a free cooperative event sponsored by all six Greene County libraries and the Greene County board of supervisors and supported by many community partners and volunteers. Each toddler will receive a book, refreshments, and book bag to fill with goodies while supplies last. For more information about Toddler Fest, contact your local Greene County library.
