Floyd W. Brown scholarship to a son or daughter of a veteran

The Jefferson American Legion Post 11 is offering  a $500 scholarship to graduating or homeschooled seniors who are the sons or daughters of honorably discharged veterans. All may apply and one scholarship will be granted each year.

American Legion members want to help pay back our veterans in a tangible way by assisting with the college expenses of the children of veterans.

Only one scholarship will be granted each year. All post-secondary programs are acceptable, including university, college, or vocational training.

Applications can be obtained from the guidance counselor’s office at the Greene County High School. Completed applications will be picked up there on April 20. Persons who want more information can contact Contact Phil Thompson at 515-391-1941
