Farmstead security topic of Coffee & Conversation March 23

Greene County Extension hosts a series of Coffee & Conversation events, bringing farmers and other ag professional together for informal discussion on current ag topics. On Friday, March 23, the topic will be “Securing Your Farm Property: Reducing Your Risk of Theft & Vandalism” from 9:30 to 11 am at the Extension Office in Jefferson.

This free event features a panel discussion with brief comments by our guest experts and opportunity for questions from those attending. Our panel includes Shawn Shouse, ISU extension & Outreach ag engineering specialist; Greene County sheriff Jack Williams; and Bob Smith, security systems expert. “This is one of our most popular Ag Coffee topics because it can affect anyone,” said Lori Mannel, county Extension director.

Sponsorship for the event is provided by MacDonald Insurance and Kingsgate Insurance.

No reservations are needed. Persons who want more information can contact the Extension office at 515-386-2138 or email xgreene@iastate.edu.
