HSB Extraordinary Citizen Award to Sorenson, Clark

Home State Bank announced Friday that Jane Sorenson and Lois Clark are the recipients of the March Extraordinary Citizen Award.

The award is a local award given by Home State Bank to an extraordinary Greene County citizen or group who has gone above and beyond by giving their time and/or resources to benefit the community. The citizen(s) must be nominated by another Greene County resident. Winners get to select an organization in which the bank will donate $100 to in their name.

Pat Richards nominated the pair who, she explained, “voluntarily give many, many hours of their time and positive spirit to attending and supporting community, church, school and retail events throughout Greene County. They are the first to cheer on those trying to make a positive impact, when they are actually a positive impact. They are truly an inspiration to us all and are so appreciated!”

Sorenson and Clark chose the Webb House as the recipient of the $100 donation from Home State Bank.
