JPRD tells March programs

The Jefferson park and recreation department is taking registrations for several March programs.

The annual Mother Son Date Night, the boys’ answer to the Daddy Daughter Dance, will be held Friday, March 9, from 6 to 8:30 pm at the Greene County Community Center. The evening allows mothers, grandmothers or mother figures an opportunity to have fun with boys who are close to their heart. The event includes pizza, bingo, and a variety of games. The event is planned for boys in Pre-K through fifth grade.

A come-and-go soccer sign-up for players in the U10-U12-U15 leagues will be held Saturday, March 17, from 10 am to noon at the community center. Players will be allowed to try on their uniform shirts and shorts to find the correct size. They will also meet their coaches for the season. Information about practice times, expectations and rules will be distributed.

Persons who want more information about any of these programs can visit the community center at 204 W. Harrison St in Jefferson, email parkrec [at] netins [dot] net, or call 515-386-3412.
