Careers class visits Jefferson Telecom

Students the careers class at Greene County High School visited Jefferson Telecom on Feb. 12.

Chief operating officer Jamie Daubendiek and certified technical operator Duane Russell gave students a tour of the building. The two talked about rapidly changing technology and how Jefferson Telecom keeps current with technology demands.

Students also learned about human resources within a business, and the need to build strong relationships for working with colleagues and the public. Daubendiek and Russell also communicated that stress management, being patient, and being a problem solver are as much a part of the workforce as they are in personal life. The both talked of the importance of being lifelong learners.
