Greene County magistrate court, week ending Feb. 8

Cases were initiated in magistrate court during the week ending Feb. 8 as follows: Veronica Laine Ellsbury of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault- first offense; and Michael Ivan Venteicher of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending Feb. 8 as follows: Joshua Troy Smithson of Jefferson, operation without registration card or plate, $50; Myleesha Monet Clayton of Fort Dodge, failure to provide proof of financial liability insurance, $250; Austin Joseph Frank of Manning, Seth Christopher Fineran of Defiance, Madison Lynn Sturm and Haley Marie Clinton, both of Carroll, Jose Mariano Martinez Jr of Auburn, and *Coby Robert Bruch of Audubon, possession of alcohol under age, $200; and Brandon Joel Turner of Garner, turning at intersection violation, $100.

Also, speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Nathan James Wolfe of West Des Moines and Evan James Woodruff of Jefferson.

Speed, $40 (6-10 over): Joshua Troy Smithson of Jefferson, *Leon Edward Clark of Fort Dodge, and *Thawng Uk Thang of Marshalltown.

Speed, $20 (1-5 over): Sarah Sabrina Hassman of Seattle, WA, *Roger Eugene Snyder of Panora, *Bryce Alan Pudenz of Callender, Brent Matthew Schipper of Conrad, Karen Ann Kennedy of Stuart *Gary John Klocke of Carroll, and Kristen Julienne Ferry of Kirkman.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): *Mitchell Chad Stevens of Ralston, failure to maintain control, $100; Chase Alan Mobley of Gowrie, possession of alcohol under age, paid $100 of fine, judgment entered for $100 fine, surcharge and court costs; *Alicia Marie Leighter of Audubon, possession of alcohol under age, paid $167.50 of fine, judgment entered for $32.50 fine, surcharge and court costs; *Seth Andrew Woebke of Manilla, possession of alcohol under age, $200; and Hayley Lynn Brown of Jefferson, failure to obey stop or yield sign, $100.

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.

*An additional $5 county surcharge was added.
