Air Force musicians to perform in Grand Junction

The USAF Band of Mid-America’s Freedom Winds will  present a concert Saturday, Feb. 10, at 7 pm at the Grand Junction Community Center in Grand Junction.  Admission is free and open to the public.

Freedom Winds is a group of six virtuoso Airman Musicians whose music inspires patriotism, connects communities with military service members, and honors our country’s veterans. They’re based at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.

In addition to showcasing traditional woodwind quintet pieces, performances take audiences on a tour of some of the most beautiful and exciting music from various cultures around the world. Their diverse repertoire includes jazz and ragtime classics along with popular themes from Broadway’s hit shows to Hollywood’s greatest films.
