The Washington Winners 4-H club held its monthly meeting Jan. 14 at the Methodist Church in Rippey. 20/30 members were present.

Everyone was reminded that market beef information needs to be verified online by Feb. 1. All other animals must be verified by May 15.

If you still haven’t re-enrolled the late fee is $25 per family.

The upcoming weigh-in date for swine is March 10, sheep/goat is May 5, and rabbit and poultry testing/tattoos is also on May 5.

Project meetings will continue for dog, horse, rabbit, and poultry. All swine exhibitors must attend one mandatory informational meeting.

There will be a free FSQA training on Feb. 22 from 6 to 8 pm. This is the last year for FSQA. There will also be a YQCA class on March 24 from 9 to 11am. The cost is $3.

Community lamb barn registrations are due April 15.

State 4-H scholarship and recognition materials are due on Feb. 1st. Ben asked everyone to ask parents if they would like to do a farm tour and see everyone’s animals right before fair as they used to do it. Parents are to let Ben know.

The next meeting will be on Feb. 10 and everyone is to bring a dozen cookies for Valentine cookie trays.
