Greene County magistrate court, week ending Jan. 11

In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered Jan. 10 against Christopher Wade Lindaman of Jefferson on a charge of theft- fifth degree. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. He must also pay $80.25 restitution to H-Vee and $360 court costs.

A judgment for a $65 fine with a $22.75 surcharge was entered against Brittany Kay Smith of Jefferson on a charge of violation of a no contact order. Court costs were $360.

A judgment was entered against Lorrie Leiann Lawrence of Jefferson on a charge of theft- fifth degree. She was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 LEI surcharge. Court costs were $60.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court during the week ending Jan. 11 as follows: Rob Jonathan Herridge of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia; and Jennifer Marie Ashby of Jefferson, interference with official acts.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending Jan. 11 as follows:

Speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Neil Edward McDowell of Jefferson, Erica Marie Ocker of West Des Moines, and Troy Michael Baer of Urbandale.

Speed, $40 (6-10 over): *William J. Wright of Scranton, Kenneth Eugene Ware of Gliden, and Dillon S. Petrzilka of Brainard, NE.

Speed, $20 (1-5 over): Darla Jean Smidt of West Des Moines, *Judith Jayne Schutty of Okoboji, and *Jack Edward Bryson of Churdan.

Failure to obey stop/yield sign, $100: Timothy James Buenz of Jefferson.

Commercial motor vehicle violations: Eugene Raymond Gerdes of Lake View, operation by unqualified driver, $50.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Kimberly Marie Sparks of Des Moines, speed, $80, and failure to use child restraint device, $100; and Gustavo Adolfo Garcia Jr of Perry, speed, $20

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.
