Greene County wrestlers lost both duals which were contested in Jefferson at the middle school gym Thursday, Dec. 7. Gilbert topped the Rams 43-36 and ADM won 43-36.
Brock Wuebker, Cayden Gerdes and Bryce Hoyle each posted a pair of pins on the night. Joe Anderson went 2-0 with a fall and a win by forfeit.
Greene County went 3-2 on Saturday and finished in fourth place at the Ogden duals tournament. There were 10 teams at the tourney with two round-robin pools of five teams each. The Rams were short four wrestlers Saturday due to injury and illness, but still went 3-1 in their pool.
Coach Mark Sawhill’s team improved to 4-7 on the season.

One of Greene County’s top wrestlers, Clint Dennhardt, injured a leg and was unable to continue to compete. Dennhardt had started his season 6-1.

OGDEN DUAL TOURNAMENT
Greene County began the day with a 42-39 victory over Clarke, Osceola. The Rams followed up with a 36-33 win over Ogden. A 39-36 loss to Kuemper Catholic preceded a 42-30 victory over Coon Rapids-Bayard, which put Greene County in second place in their pool. Humboldt placed second in the other pool and defeated the Rams 63-18.
Senior Cayden Gerdes was 5-0 at 138-pounds. He posted four falls and a major decision, improving his season record to 13-3. Garrett Tasler (113) was 4-1, his only loss coming when he moved up a weight class to 120-pounds.
