HSB names first Extraordinary Citizen award winner

Home State Bank announce the winners of their first monthly Extraordinary Citizen award. The award is a local award given by Home State Bank to an extraordinary Greene County citizen or group who has gone above and beyond by giving their time and/or resources to benefit the community. The citizen(s) must be nominated by another Greene County resident. Winners get to select an organization to receive a $100 donation in their name.

Bob Allen of Churdan nominated the group of firefighters who volunteered their time to go to Texas and help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. The firefighters chose the $100 donation from the bank to go to the Greene County Elementary School.
