Peoples Bandits win scavenger hunt

Jefferson Telecom presented a check for $2,314 to local law enforcement from the Shop with a Cop fundraiser held on Oct. 7.

Jefferson Telecom staff orchestrated a mobile Scavenger Hunt in downtown Jefferson to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
Registered teams completed tasks and challenges in order to gain points to claim first prize through an online app on their smartphone.

All proceeds raised through donations and registered teams were given to law enforcement for the Shop with a Cop cause to shop and purchase gifts for families in need at the holidays.

First prize was awarded to Team People’s Bandits who received $200 in Greene County Chamber checks donated by Jefferson Telecom. Second prize went to Team AAI who received $140 in Greene County Chamber checks donated by Jefferson Telecom. Third prize of $80 in Greene County Chamber checks donated by Jefferson Telecom was awarded to Team JATT.

Jefferson Telecom staff Karla Kohl and Janelle Wright initiated the idea to hold a fundraiser for the holidays for Shop with a Cop. Wright said, “We were overjoyed with the community support for this fundraising opportunity. We greatly appreciate everyone that donated and participated in the fundraiser.”
